The PZL Mielec M28 aircraft is a Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL), multi-purpose utility aircraft, capable of operating from any type of runway in just about any weather.

Its high wing, double-fin empennage and rugged tricycle landing gear combined with two PT6A-65B Pratt & Whitney turboprop, fully reversible engines make it durable, dependable and effective in austere conditions and on unprepared surfaces.

The M28 can be configured with a ramp door for passenger and cargo loading, and an under-fuselage cargo pod for carrying an extra load. The aircraft can fly for up to six hours on internal fuel, carries 17 paratroopers or 19 passengers, and offers the highest payload capacity in its class – 2,300 kg.

The flexible M28 can be customised for missions from cargo transport to search and rescue to maritime patrol and beyond. The aircraft is also available in special mission configurations, customised to meet customer requirements.
